Purpose
The Bristol Planning Commission has the following responsibilities, as set forth in Chapter 126 of the Connecticut General Statutes:
- To adopt, amend, and administer the city’s Subdivision Regulations
- To adopt and amend a plan of conservation and development for the city
- To review and make recommendations on all proposed municipal improvements
- To hear, consider, and decide upon applications for approval of subdivision or resubdivision plans
- To determine whether the existing division of any land constitutes a subdivision or resubdivision
- To review and make recommendations to the Zoning Commission on proposed changes to the Zoning Regulations and Zoning Map
- To review site plans for the purpose of determining conformity with the Zoning Regulations
