Satellite Social Security Video Service

The Social Security Administration will now offer their new Video Service Delivery program at the Bristol Senior Center. This service will be available to Bristol residents every Wednesday between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon. People needing to speak with a Social Security employee will be able to do so. Video conferencing equipment has been set up at the Senior Center for residents so they can speak face to face with the Social Security employee. Appointments will be taken on a first come, first serve basis. This service is being made available as a result of the Social Security office that was located in Bristol closing. The Bristol Senior Center is located at 240 Stafford Avenue, Bristol, CT 06010. For further information please call the Senior Center at (860)584-7895 weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Trained Choices volunteers and our staff will be happy to assist you in determining whether you qualify for any extra help paying for some of your medications/medical premiums and possibly your deductibles.

Applications are available in the office.

If you need help with any questions after hours, please call 2-1-1, representatives are on hand to answer questions 24 hours a day.

Dial-A-Ride

The Human Resource Association (HRA) van is available to the Bristol Senior Center Mondays from 9:45 AM with the last pickup at 1:00 PM and Tuesday through Friday from 9:45 AM with pickups at 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM.

AAA Roadwise Drivers for seniors

The first Thursday of the month, every other month from March to November

Cost: $20.00 - AAA Members $25.00 - Non AAA Members. Class meets for 1 day from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Space is limited. Please sign up in advance.

AARP Income Tax Assistance

February through April (before the 15th)

Tuesdays and Fridays 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM

Income taxes are done for seniors at no cost.

Wellness Foot Clinic

Wednesdays 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Foot care fee is $18.00

Screening and cleaning fee is $50.00

Dental forms can be picked up at the Main Office of the Senior Center

Dental referrals to participating dentists who charge on a sliding scale.

Blood Pressure Screening

Tuesdays 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM

Free and no appointment is necessary.

Congregate Meals Program Grab & Go Meals Currently)

Lunch is served Monday to Friday, excluding holidays. The menu is available at the Senior Center. You must register a week in advance by calling (860) 584-7894 X 7114.

Suggested donation is $2.50 (60 years and over)

Fee for guest under 60 years is $5.00
