Local Prevention Council

The Bristol Prevention Coalition, BEST-4-Bristol, has funds available to develop and implement culturally competent programs to prevent or reduce the use of alcohol, tobacco products and other drugs (ATOD).  Grant proposals can be submitted by non-profit or public agencies serving the Bristol community and local businesses who are seeking to implement fundamental policy change regarding substance abuse.  Applications must include plans for the development and implementation of prevention programs using one or more of the following strategies: environmental, community-based processes, information dissemination, education, problem identification and referral or alternatives to prevent substance abuse and other addictive behaviors (see Appendix A for definitions).  The grant is intended to facilitate culturally competent alcohol abuse and drug prevention and promote behavioral health and overall wellness.  Click on the link below for more information or to print an application.
