Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
Program Description
The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program is a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) program that provides funds annually to all entitlement jurisdictions. CDBG funds are used for community development and affordable housing activities. Each year, the City solicits applications from non-profit organizations serving low and moderate-income residents through programming that addresses priorities and goals established by the Economic & Community Development Board in the 5-Year Consolidated Plan for 2025-2029.
The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program 5-Year Consolidated Plan is available for viewing. The plan includes new goals based on surveys of Bristol residents and social service agencies to assess current and future community needs. The Annual Action Plan for Year 51 (2025-2026) is included as part of the Consolidated Plan.
